www.siakkab.bps.go.id - Head of the Central Statistics Agency for Siak Regency, Khairunas, SE. opened a training event for candidates for the National Labor Force Survey (Sakernas) February 2022, which is one of the most important sources of employment data in Indonesia. The Sakernas data has been widely used by various groups, both at home and abroad. Therefore, the continuity of the availability and quality of Sakernas data must be maintained and improved. Sakernas February 2022 was held in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, which is still difficult to predict when it will end. For this reason, the implementation of Sakernas, both at the stage of instrument preparation, training of instructors and officers, updating the content of the census block, enumeration of sample households, supervision, and evaluation of activities still follows business processes that are adapted to the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. All stages of activities must continue to apply health protocols strictly, while maintaining the quality of the Sakernas data produced.
According to the Head of BPS for Siak Regency at the opening of the training for Sakernas officers, in his remarks, "In general, the purpose of collecting data for the February 2022 Sakernas is to provide basic sustainable employment data. In particular, Sakernas aims to obtain estimates of data on the number of working population, number of unemployed, and other employment indicators, as well as representative developments at the national, provincial and district/city levels. In addition, the February 2022 Sakernas also has a specific purpose to collect information related to the impact of COVID-19 on employment in Indonesia.”
"Thus, the population concept used in the February 2022 Sakernas refers to the SP2020 concept, which uses the "de jure" concept or the concept of where a person usually resides (usual residence) and the "de facto" concept or the concept of "where someone was at the time of data collection. The main mechanism for enumeration of the sample households for the February 2022 Sakernas was conducted by direct/face-to-face interviews with the sample households.
