In his remarks he said, “The 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023) will be carried out again by BPS in 2023. One of the efforts to achieve quality data is the availability of an up-to-date statistical work area master framework (wilkerstat). Since SP2020, BPS has maintained two types of master frameworks, namely the Census Block (BS) and the Local Environmental Unit (SLS) where the BS area is formed based on the homogeneity of the load from the SLS. Given the dynamics of SLS changes from year to year, updating activities are needed to obtain quality wilkerstat”.
BPS will conduct an Agricultural Census in 2023. In preparing for the 2023 Agricultural Census (ST2023), the Directorate of Census and Survey Methodology Development will update the master framework as a planning basis for the ST2023 implementation. Unlike the previous Agricultural Census, the master framework that was built was not only on the content of the statistical work area (wilkerstat), but also related to the preparation of the geospatial framework of agricultural land.
The geospatial framework is a master framework that includes geospatial information used for statistical activities at BPS. The geospatial framework compiled in the Wilkerstat ST2023 Geospatial Framework and Loading Update activity consists of two types, namely:
1. Statistical work area;
2. Map of agricultural land potential.
The Head of the Siak Regency Central Statistics Agency appealed to Geospatial training officers to continue to implement health protocols to prevent the wider spread of COVID-19 both during training and when out in the field. (Humasbpskabsiak)
