Development of the Consumer Price Index (Inflation / Deflation) August 2017

Riau inflation in August 2017 occurred due to an increase in prices in six expenditure groups, namely the foodstuffs group by 0.78 percent, followed by the education, recreation, and sports group by 0.61 percent, the clothing group by 0.43 percent, the processed food group , beverages, cigarettes and tobacco by 0.24 percent, the housing, water, electricity, gas and fuel group by 0.13 percent, and the health group by 0.08 percent. Meanwhile, the transportation, communication and financial services expenditure group experienced deflation of 0.61 percent.
